Role Overview:
Reporting to the Founder, the Executive Director will play a key leadership role in executing the Dragons Elite Athletics vision and strategy.
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Dragons Elite Athletics facility and optimizing the utilization and economic model.
- Collaborating with the leadership of our Teams entity to grow the teams and programs for optimal economics and creating both development and winning (State & National competition) teams models.
- Manage all corporate functions with support from the One Dragon Services team.
This position requires a dynamic, business development oriented, strategic leader who will ensure the successful delivery of training programs, develop teams and build for scale. You will be the public face of and brand champion of Dragons Elite Athletics and will play a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leader in the youth athletic development space.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations:
- Manage day-to-day operations ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for all athletes and their trainers.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with sponsors, schools, universities, and athletic organizations.
- Develop and refine business models for growth, ensuring scalability while maintaining a high standard of training and player development.
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and fundraising to support business expansion.
- Coordinate with legal and HR teams on staW and team agreements, athlete billing and collections of fees, company insurance and any such related matters.
- Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, athletic standards, and safety protocols.
Marketing & Brand Positioning:
- Ensure the consistent messaging of Dragons Elite Athletics' unique value propositions, including the certified coaching staW, personalized athlete development plans, and long-term focus on outcomes.
- Oversee the development of marketing and digital assets, including website content, social media presence, and press releases.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for Dragons Elite Athletics, building relationships with key stakeholders, media, and community members.
Leadership & Management:
- Supervise recruitment and management of training staW to ensure a professional, dedicated leadership team.
- Guide and mentor the leadership team, including training staW and business development professionals.
- Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams within the youth athletic development sector.
- Work with the founder and the executive team to develop and implement plans for expansion into new markets, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications Required:
Knowledge / Skills:
- Proven experience in an executive leadership role, preferably in the sports, fitness, or youth development industry.
- Background in sports, fitness, or athlete development, with a strong preference for licensed coaches, former athletes, or fitness professionals.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage key stakeholders, from parents and athletes to investors and media.
- Strong understanding of the youth athletic development landscape and market trends.
- A passion for empowering young athletes and developing future leaders.
- Experience in scaling a business. A track record of success in managing multi-location operations and large teams is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Athletic Administration, Finance, Sports Management, or similar.
- Professional coaching and/or leadership certifications from recognized bodies preferred.
