Dragons Academy was founded by successful technology entrepreneurs, engaged educators and pioneers in education-based programs to create a next generation fully accredited 1 to 1 learning school for grades K to 12, where personalized education unlocks the full potential of students while providing unprecedented flexibility and oversight by parents and families. 
 
Role Overview:
Reporting to Founder and Executive Director, the Campus Director will play a key leadership role in defining, building and executing the Dragons Academy vision and strategy.
 
The Campus Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Dragons Academy’s main campus. This position requires a dynamic and strategic leader who can execute the vision and mission of the Academy, ensuring that both academic excellence and operational efficiency are achieved. The Director will lead and mentor a team of teachers and administrative staff fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and flexibility for both students and their families.
 
The successful candidate will have a deep passion for high-quality, flexible education and a belief in the potential of every student. They will be familiar with educational technology trends and have a proven track record of innovation and thinking outside the box. They will collaborate across faculty, marketing, and with families, to deliver compelling, innovative and empowering education while ensuring alignment with Dragons Academy’s strategic vision.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Academic Excellence:
  • Ensure the implementation of Dragons Academy's high-quality curriculum, focusing on math, science, reading, writing, social studies, and the arts.
  • Maintain the 1:1 student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that students receive individualized instruction and guidance in key development areas.
  • Collaborate with teachers to differentiate learning experiences based on the individual needs of students.
 
Leadership & Management:
  • Lead the campus staff, including teachers, administrative personnel, and support teams, ensuring they are aligned with Dragons Academy’s mission and values.
  • Actively participate in the hiring and retention of teachers who are passionate about delivering a personalized and flexible educational experience.
  • Manage day-to-day campus operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Maintain all relevant academic records and ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements
  • Build relationships with the local community, businesses, and educational organizations to enhance the visibility and reputation of Dragons Academy.
  • Collaborate on the marketing and branding of the school to attract high potential children and families who will thrive in this environment.
  • Coordinate with the legal and HR teams on the family agreements, billing and collections of campus fees, insurance and related matters.
 
Qualifications Required:
Knowledge /Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, educational leadership, entrepreneurship or a related field. Master's degree or higher a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and drive academic results.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and experience managing educational quality assurance.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and personalized learning models.
 
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in educational leadership, or management roles within K-12 schools, private academies, tutoring facilities or related institutions.
  • Experience as an Administrator, teacher, leader or working in the Education Technology (EdTech) field preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum implementation and a strong understanding of K-12 education standards, particularly in core subjects (math, science, reading, writing, social studies, and arts).

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
